Peter Elijah vs Ian Protheroe

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/10/2038 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Peter Elijah (50(10) - 21) who hails from Cape Coral, USA and Ian Protheroe(0 - 1) from Houston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Elijah lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Elijah advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Elijah ties up his opponent.  Elijah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Protheroe throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Protheroe to stop fouling.  
Elijah gets on the inside and drives a right uppercut into Protheroe's ribs.  
Elijah quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Elijah hits home with a solid left hook.  Elijah clinches his opponent.  Protheroe is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Protheroe and breaks the clinch.  
Elijah hits home with a cross.  
Elijah is looking to close the distance.  Protheroe attempts to land a left uppercut, but Elijah sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Protheroe hits home with a sharp cross.  
Elijah connects with a solid left hook.  
Elijah steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Protheroe lands a sharp jab.  
Elijah gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Elijah connects with a solid right hook.  
Elijah lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Elijah closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Elijah tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Elijah connects with a sharp cross.  
Elijah quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Elijah lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Elijah advances into close range and forces Protheroe to retreat onto the ropes.  Elijah is on target with a right hook.  
Elijah is looking to close the distance.  Elijah pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Elijah is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Elijah digs in a powerful left hook to his opponents body.  PROTHEROE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Protheroe now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Elijah connects with a left hook.  Elijah holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Elijah pushes his forearm into Protheroe's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Elijah.  
Protheroe lands a left hook.  
Elijah drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Elijah lands a right uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Protheroe steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Elijah sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Elijah lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Elijah steps inside.  Protheroe connects with a right uppercut.  
Elijah sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Protheroe throws a left hook, but Elijah ties up his opponent.  Elijah is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Elijah lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Protheroe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Elijah sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Elijah steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Elijah lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Protheroe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Protheroe throws a left hook, but Elijah clinches his opponent.  Elijah throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Protheroe throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut to Protheroe's body.  
Protheroe is on target with a jab.  
Elijah lands a solid cross.

Elijah closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Protheroe almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Elijah connects with a cross.  
Elijah lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Elijah finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Elijah advances into close range and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Elijah holds on to his opponent.  Protheroe leans on his opponent using all his weight. Elijah pushes his forearm into Protheroe's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Elijah pivots to the right of his opponent and slams a nasty left hook into his opponents ribs.  PROTHEROE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Elijah!
