Michi Makino vs Connor Carlyle

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 13/10/2038 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michi Makino (28 - 4) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Connor Carlyle(1 - 5) from Norwich, UK.  

Round 1: 

Makino lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Makino hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Makino tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with an overhand right.  Makino attempts to land a cross, but Carlyle blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Makino drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Makino holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Carlyle pushes his forearm into Makino's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Carlyle forces Makino to retreat onto the ropes.  Carlyle feints a jab, tricking Makino into throwing a left hook counter.  Carlyle is waiting for the shot and counters with a cross.

Makino is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Carlyle tries to land an overhand left, but Makino slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Makino digs in a stinging left hook to Carlyle's body.  
Carlyle advances into close range.  Makino is on target with a right uppercut.  
Carlyle lands a solid jab.  
Makino is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Carlyle is on target with a cross.  
Makino attempts to land a cross, but Carlyle sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Carlyle is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  Carlyle throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Carlyle throws a left uppercut, but Makino clinches his opponent.  Makino is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Makino's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Makino digs in a telling left hook to his opponents body.  CARLYLE IS HURT!  Carlyle almost instantly recovers. 
Makino is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Makino throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carlyle manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Makino lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Carlyle closes the distance.  Makino is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  Makino clinches his opponent.  Makino leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carlyle sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Makino lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Carlyle's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Makino feints a cross, and then lands an overhand left, jab and a cross to his opponents head.
