Chris Edris vs Chris Rhys

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/10/2038 from Los Angeles, USA:

The Los Angeles venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chris Edris (14 - 5) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Chris Rhys(1 - 17(1)) from Lincoln, USA.  

Round 1: 

Rhys is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Edris blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Rhys's body.  
Edris gets on the inside.  Rhys lands a firm right uppercut.  
Edris lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Edris attempts to land a left hook, but Rhys sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Rhys pivots to the right of his opponent, but Edris lands a ramrod jab.  Edris goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Rhys's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Edris pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left hook into Rhys's ribs.  
Edris is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Edris gets on the inside and walks Rhys down, trapping him on the ropes.  Edris sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Rhys's ribs.  
Rhys switches the action to the outside and lands a solid jab.  
Edris advances into close range.  Rhys digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Edris tries to step out of his opponents range.  Rhys is on target with a cross.  Rhys attempts to land a cross, but Edris sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Edris forces Rhys to back into a neutral corner.  Edris digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rhys steps to the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
Edris closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Edris's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Rhys throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Edris gets on the inside.  Rhys attempts to land a left hook, but Edris sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Rhys connects with a right hook.  
Edris gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Edris steps inside.  Rhys tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Rhys manages to force Edris onto the ropes.  Edris is on target with a jab.  Edris throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Edris steps to the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Edris closes the distance.  Edris pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Rhys's liver.  
Edris is looking to close the distance.  Rhys throws a right uppercut, but Edris clinches his opponent.  Rhys leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Edris pushes his forearm into Rhys's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rhys pivots from in front of his opponent, but Edris lands a jab.
