Goro Tanaka vs Akira Masaki

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/09/2038 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Goro Tanaka (2 - 1) who hails from Machida, Japan and Akira Masaki(1 - 3) from Hamamatsu, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Masaki lands a left uppercut.

Tanaka sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid cross.

Masaki walks Tanaka down, trapping him in the corner.  Masaki hits home with a cross.  
Tanaka feints a jab, fooling Masaki into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Tanaka avoids the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Masaki gets on the inside.  Tanaka lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Tanaka lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Masaki is on target with a left hook to Tanaka's liver.  
Masaki goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Tanaka's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tanaka switches the action to the outside.  Masaki tries to land a cross, but Tanaka slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Masaki throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Masaki gets on the inside.  Tanaka digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.

Masaki is looking to close the distance and manouvers Tanaka into the corner.  Tanaka is on target with a right uppercut.  
Tanaka lands a stinging left uppercut.  
Tanaka hits home with a left hook.  
Masaki steps inside and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
