Greg Blackley vs Paul Matherson

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/09/2038 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Greg Blackley (11 - 10) who hails from New York City, USA and Paul Matherson(2 - 9) from Philadelphia, USA.  

Round 1: 

Blackley is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Matherson throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Blackley's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Matherson hits home with a cross.  
Blackley steps to the outside.  Blackley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Blackley tries to keep the action at long range.  Blackley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Blackley lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Matherson manages to force Blackley onto the ropes.  Blackley lands with a solid jab.  
Matherson throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Blackley snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Blackley lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Blackley pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Matherson gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Matherson throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Matherson closes the distance and manouvers Blackley into a neutral corner.  Blackley lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Blackley finds the target with a jab.

Blackley steps away from his opponent.  Blackley feints a cross, and then hits home with a solid cross.  
Blackley tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a firm cross.  Blackley tries to land a cross, but Matherson slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Matherson connects with a cross.  
Blackley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Matherson hits home with an overhand right.  
Matherson sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Blackley feints a cross, and then lands with a stinging jab.  
Matherson connects with a left hook.
