Andy Saul vs Azam Almubarak

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/06/2038 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Andy Saul (65(8) - 11) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Azam Almubarak(3 - 2) from Sharjah, UAE.  

Round 1: 

Saul is looking to close the distance and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Almubarak throws a left hook, but Saul clinches his opponent.  Saul is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Almubarak steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Saul sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Almubarak's liver.  
Saul steps inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Saul holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Saul pushes his forearm into Almubarak's face.  The referee warns Saul and breaks the clinch.  
Saul lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Saul gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Almubarak hits home with a sharp cross.  
Almubarak switches the action to the outside.  Saul hits home with a solid cross.  
Saul digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Almubarak throws a left hook, but Saul holds on to his opponent.  Almubarak leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saul connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Saul hits home with a right hook.  
Saul hits home with a solid left hook.  
Saul forces Almubarak to back into the red corner.  Saul throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Saul ties up his opponent.  Saul leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Saul's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Almubarak pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Saul closes the distance.  Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Saul is on target with a stinging cross.  
Saul gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Almubarak is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Almubarak stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Saul lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Saul manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Saul quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Almubarak tries to land a left uppercut, but Saul parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Saul gets on the inside.  Almubarak throws a left hook, but Saul ties up his opponent.  Saul tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Almubarak behind the head. 
Saul lands a left uppercut, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Saul steps inside and slams a mean right hook into his opponents ribs.  ALMUBARAK WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
It looks like Almubarak has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Saul closes the distance and digs in a left hook to Almubarak's body.  Saul ties up his opponent.  Saul leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Saul lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Saul clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Almubarak pushes his forearm into Saul's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Saul attempts to land a left uppercut, but Almubarak parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
