Greg Abram vs John McCorkell

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/05/2038 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Greg Abram (22(5) - 9) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and John McCorkell(1 - 0) from Salt Lake City, USA.  

Round 1: 

McCorkell lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Abram steps inside and drives a firm left hook into McCorkell's body.  
Abram gets on the inside and digs in a solid left hook to McCorkell's body.  
McCorkell is on target with a stinging left hook.

McCorkell tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Abram is looking to close the distance.  McCorkell throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Abram clinches his opponent.  Abram is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
McCorkell lands a left hook, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Abram closes the distance.  McCorkell throws a left hook, but Abram holds on to his opponent.  Abram pushes his forearm into McCorkell's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abram.  
McCorkell walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Abram hits home with a solid cross.  
Abram gets on the inside.  McCorkell throws a right hook, but Abram ties up his opponent.  Abram uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McCorkell behind the head. The ref breaks Abram's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Abram lands a left hook.  
Abram is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
McCorkell lands a jab to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Abram steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Abram advances into close range and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
McCorkell now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Abram lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCorkell is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Abram gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Abram holds on to his opponent.  Abram leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Abram's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Abram advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Abram ties up his opponent.  Abram leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McCorkell sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Abram forces McCorkell to back into the ropes.  Abram is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Abram sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Abram forces McCorkell to retreat onto the ropes.  Abram is on target with a sharp right hook to McCorkell's ribs.  
Abram lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Abram is looking to close the distance.  Abram pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.
