Lewis Sillars vs Ian Rees

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/04/2038 from Providence, USA:

The Providence venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Lewis Sillars (19(2) - 4) who hails from Providence, USA and Ian Rees(21 - 23) from Madison, USA.  

Round 1: 

Sillars is looking to close the distance.  Sillars pivots from in front of his opponent.  Sillars throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Rees time to recover.

Sillars advances into close range.  Sillars sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rees lands with a spiteful jab.  Rees throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Rees is on target with a right hook.  Sillars clinches his opponent.  Sillars leans on his opponent using all his weight. Rees throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Rees connects with a right hook.  
Rees lands a hard jab.  
Sillars lands a cross.  
Rees drives a right hook into Sillars's body.  
Sillars sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sillars lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sillars ties up his opponent.  Rees leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Sillars pushes his forearm into Rees's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rees pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Sillars digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  Sillars clinches his opponent.  Sillars leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Sillars uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rees behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sillars manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sillars lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sillars attempts to land a right hook, but Rees blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rees lands a cross.  
Rees tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Sillars closes the distance.  Rees throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Sillars is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.

Rees quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rees lands with a hard jab.  Rees attempts to land a right hook, but Sillars sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.

Sillars is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Rees tries to land a right hook, but Sillars parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

Sillars slams a mean right hook into Rees's body.  REES HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Rees now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Rees's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Sillars drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Sillars advances into close range and drives a stinging left hook into Rees's ribs.  
Rees connects with a cross.  
Sillars digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.
