Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2038,  taking place on 11/04/2038 from Manukau, New Zealand:

The Manukau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Chris Purcell (12(2) - 6) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Jamie Curtain(4 - 4) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  

Round 1: 

Purcell steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Purcell is looking to close the distance.  Purcell pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Purcell digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.

Curtain attempts to land a jab, but Purcell sidesteps and counters with a left hook.
