Vermont Mauriac vs Charles Pageau

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/04/2038 from Paris, France:

The Paris venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vermont Mauriac (40(1) - 13) who hails from Paris, France and Charles Pageau(1 - 9) from Bordeaux, France.  

Round 1: 

Mauriac gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mauriac closes the distance and throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Mauriac ties up his opponent.  Mauriac leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mauriac is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Mauriac uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pageau behind the head. Pageau hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Mauriac's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mauriac lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Mauriac attempts to land a left hook, but Pageau blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mauriac gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but Pageau slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Pageau pivots to the right of his opponent.  Pageau attempts to land a jab, but Mauriac sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Pageau steps to the outside.  Mauriac hits home with an overhand right.  
Pageau connects with a cross.
