Boxing Daily Report from the Jamaica National Finals 2038,  taking place on 26/03/2038 from Spanish Town, Jamaica:

The Spanish Town venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Carnegie (7 - 7) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Kai Neilson(6 - 8) from Kingston, Jamaica.  

Round 1: 

Neilson closes the distance.  Carnegie tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Carnegie steps away from his opponent and lands a stiff jab.

Neilson hits home with a cross.

Carnegie is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Neilson slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Carnegie pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Neilson hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Carnegie gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Neilson pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm cross.  
Carnegie advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Carnegie sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Neilson digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Carnegie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Carnegie throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Neilson's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
