Gonzalo Soza vs Vicente Corpuz

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 26/12/2037 from Mexico City, Mexico:

The Mexico City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gonzalo Soza (9 - 4) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Vicente Corpuz(1 - 1) from Celaya, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Soza switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Corpuz manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Corpuz drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Soza throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Corpuz's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Soza hits home with a right hook.  Soza throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Soza is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab to Corpuz's body.  
Soza lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Soza steps to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Soza tries to step out of his opponents range.  Corpuz hits home with a cross.  
Corpuz steps inside.  Corpuz throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Soza time to recover.  
Corpuz attempts to land an overhand right, but Soza dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Corpuz gets on the inside.  Soza is on target with a right hook.  
Corpuz lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Soza hits home with a solid cross.  
Corpuz lands a stiff jab.  
Corpuz attempts to land a jab, but Soza slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Corpuz closes the distance.  Corpuz attempts to land a left hook, but Soza blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Soza's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Soza lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Soza feints a left hook, and then lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Corpuz steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Soza lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Soza hits home with a solid cross.  
Corpuz closes the distance and walks Soza onto the ropes.  Soza is on target with a solid right hook.  
Corpuz lands a sharp jab.  
Corpuz advances into close range.  Soza connects with a right hook.  
Corpuz is looking to close the distance and manages to force Soza onto the ropes.  Corpuz pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
