Mark Proffitt vs Danny Day

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/12/2037 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mark Proffitt (29 - 6) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Danny Day(0 - 2) from Atlanta, USA.  

Round 1: 

Day advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Proffitt's body.  
Proffitt tries to keep the action at long range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Day forces Proffitt to retreat into the corner.  Day lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Proffitt is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.

Day steps inside and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Proffitt feints a jab, and then connects with a sharp cross.  
Proffitt tries to keep the action at long range.  Proffitt feints a left hook, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Proffitt steps away from his opponent.  Proffitt feints a left hook, and then lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Proffitt is on target with a jab.

Proffitt feints a right hook, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
Day steps inside and throws a right hook, but Proffitt clinches his opponent.  Proffitt tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Day's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Proffitt to stop fouling.

Day lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Day advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  Proffitt ties up his opponent.  Day leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Proffitt is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Proffitt feints a left hook, and then is on target with a cross.  
Day pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid left uppercut.
