Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 15/10/2037 from San Antonio, USA:

The San Antonio venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Povey (2 - 4) who hails from Houston, USA and Leighton Calderwood(2 - 3) from Houston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Povey is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Povey steps to the outside.  Calderwood finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Calderwood gets on the inside.  Povey connects with a right hook.  
Calderwood connects with a cross.  
Calderwood sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.

Calderwood closes the distance and manouvers Povey onto the ropes.  Calderwood quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Povey voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Calderwood tries to tag Povey on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Calderwood lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Povey is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Calderwood connects with an overhand right.  
Calderwood lands a left hook.  
Povey steps to the outside and connects with a cross.
