Oliver Usher vs Juan Badilla

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/09/2037 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Oliver Usher (41 - 2) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Juan Badilla(1 - 2) from Oruro, Bolivia.  

Round 1: 

Badilla closes the distance.  Usher is on target with a left hook.

Badilla feints a jab, tricking Usher into countering with a right uppercut.  Badilla springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Badilla pivots to the side of his opponent and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Usher's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Badilla manages to force Usher onto the ropes.  Badilla stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Usher is on target with a jab.  
Badilla lands a right hook.  
Usher is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to Badilla's body.  
Badilla steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Usher's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Usher steps away from his opponent.  Badilla tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Badilla closes the distance.  Usher lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Usher hits home with a cross.  
Badilla attempts to land a cross, but Usher sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Usher lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Usher lands a ramrod jab.  
Usher tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Badilla closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Usher's ribs.
