Rob Craib vs Leo McNeil

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 27/08/2037 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Rob Craib (57(6) - 7) who hails from New York City, USA and Leo McNeil(1 - 3) from Boston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Craib gets on the inside.  McNeil throws a left hook, but Craib ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Craib pushes his forearm into McNeil's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McNeil is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Craib advances into close range.  Craib retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  McNeil accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Craib.  
McNeil sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Craib lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
McNeil is on target with a cross.  
Craib steps inside and connects with a stinging left uppercut.  Craib holds on to his opponent.  Craib is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Craib and breaks the clinch.  
Craib hits home with a solid left hook.  
McNeil connects with a left hook.  
Craib gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Craib lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McNeil sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Craib lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Craib lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McNeil quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McNeil throws a right hook, but Craib clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Craib closes the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
McNeil quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
McNeil hits home with a right uppercut.  
Craib lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Craib gets on the inside and lands a firm left uppercut.  
McNeil throws a right uppercut, but Craib ties up his opponent.  Craib leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Craib's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Craib advances into close range and attempts to land a right hook, but McNeil blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
McNeil sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Craib lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  McNeil almost instantly recovers. 
Craib advances into close range and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Craib's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

McNeil switches the action to the outside.  Craib tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Craib is on target with a left hook.  
Craib lands a jab.  
McNeil steps away from his opponent.  Craib is on target with a ramrod jab.  
McNeil strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Craib lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
McNeil tries to land a jab, but Craib slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
McNeil throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

McNeil could be stopped here, if Craib can find the right shot!  Craib crashes a nasty left uppercut to McNeil's body.  MCNEIL HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  McNeil now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Craib is on target with a jab.  
Craib lands a jab.  
Craib lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
McNeil feints a jab, tricking Craib into launching a cross counter.  McNeil springs the trap and counters with  a sharp right hook.  
McNeil lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Craib finds the target with a jab.  
McNeil tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Craib attempts to land a jab, but McNeil dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Craib lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands two jab's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Craib connects with a solid cross.  
Craib strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Craib finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
McNeil attempts to land a cross, but Craib slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
