Anton Polis vs Goga Saars

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia National Finals 2036,  taking place on 14/04/2036 from Riga, Latvia:

The Riga venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Anton Polis (10 - 4) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Goga Saars(23(3) - 7) from Riga, Latvia.  

Round 1: 

Polis steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Saars sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Saars is on target with a cross.  
Saars closes the distance.  Polis is on target with a right hook.  
Saars steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Polis on the ropes.  Saars drives a stinging left hook into Polis's body.  
Saars lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Polis tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  Polis throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Saars is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Saars pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Polis's body.  
Saars lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Saars is on target with a cross.  
Polis switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Saars gets on the inside.  Polis throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook to Polis's body.  
Polis drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Saars clinches his opponent.  Polis pushes his forearm into Saars's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Polis.  
Saars closes the distance and digs in a left hook to Polis's body.  
Saars lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Saars is on target with a sharp right hook to Polis's ribcage.  
Polis hits home with a firm right hook.  
Polis is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Polis sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Polis attempts to land a jab, but Saars sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Saars gets on the inside.  Polis hits home with a stinging right hook.  Saars ties up his opponent.  Saars leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saars cuts off the ring, trapping Polis in the corner.  Saars is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Saars sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Some sustained pressure from Saars could be enough to finish Polis!  Saars lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Saars is on target with a BRUTAL left hook.  DOWN GOES POLIS!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Polis has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Saars's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
