Boxing Daily Report from the Guatemala National Finals 2036,  taking place on 29/03/2036 from Mixco, Guatemala:

The Mixco venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jose Carro (29 - 19(1)) who hails from Villa Nueva, Guatemala and Santiago Serafin(9 - 13) from Guatemala City, Guatemala.  

Round 1: 

Carro advances into close range and lands a sharp left hook.  
Serafin drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Carro is looking to close the distance and manouvers Serafin onto the ropes.  Carro hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Carro backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Serafin is whaling away with hooks, but Carro keeps his defence tight.  
Carro tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Carro drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Serafin lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Carro advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Serafin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Carro lands with a ramrod jab.  
Serafin steps to the outside.  Carro lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Carro closes the distance.  Carro attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Serafin to the neutral corner.  He warns Carro that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.

Serafin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Carro attempts to land a jab, but Serafin blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
