Kenji Shimizu vs Lazar Zaravichs

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/10/2034 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenji Shimizu (35 - 15) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Lazar Zaravichs(0 - 5) from Riga, Latvia.  

Round 1: 

Shimizu lands a spiteful jab.  
Zaravichs tries to step out of his opponents range.  Shimizu hits home with a stinging overhand right.  
Shimizu lands a hard jab.  
Zaravichs switches the action to the outside.  Zaravichs circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Shimizu lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Shimizu closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Zaravichs throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Shimizu lands a right hook, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Shimizu gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Shimizu clinches his opponent.  Zaravichs leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Shimizu tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a firm overhand right.  
Shimizu steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Shimizu gets on the inside.  Zaravichs throws a right hook, but Shimizu holds on to his opponent.  Shimizu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Shimizu and breaks the clinch.  
Zaravichs steps to the outside.  Shimizu is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Shimizu lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Shimizu digs in a sharp right hook to Zaravichs's body.  
Shimizu is looking to keep his distance.  Shimizu feints a left hook, and then hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Shimizu steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Shimizu tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Shimizu lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Shimizu forces Zaravichs to retreat onto the ropes.  Shimizu pivots to the right of his opponent.  Zaravichs throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Shimizu time to recover.
