Dan Lourie vs John Carey

Boxing Daily Report from the Mandale Boxing Promotions promoted show at Chinese Benevolent Association auditorium, Kingston,  taking place on 04/10/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dan Lourie (4 - 0) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and John Carey(2 - 1 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Both Lourie and Carey weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Dennie, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Pye, John Woodburn and Jacob Pye.  

Round 1: 

Lourie pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Lourie lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Lourie pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right hook into Carey's body.  
Carey sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lourie lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Lourie cuts off the ring, trapping Carey in a corner.  Lourie waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Carey throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Lourie steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Lourie closes the distance.  Lourie pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.

Lourie leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Carey tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carey dabs at his face checking for damage.  Carey has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
