Zach Poku vs Malcolm Anang

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Kotei, Kumasi,  taking place on 22/09/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zach Poku (29(10) - 15(4)) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Malcolm Anang(7 - 4 - 2) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Poku weighed in at 147 pounds, while Anang weighed in at 147 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chata Ankrah, and the three ringside judges are Haider Raad, Vincent Lamptey and Malcolm Habe.  

Round 1: 

Poku feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.

Poku is looking to keep his distance.  Anang tries to land an overhand left, but Poku slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Poku lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Poku is on target with a stinging left hook to Anang's ribs.  
Poku feints a jab, and then hits home with a cross.  
Poku steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Anang steps inside.  Poku is on target with a right hook.  
Poku is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Poku feints a jab, and then lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Anang steps inside.  Poku lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Poku ties up his opponent.  Poku throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Poku to stop fouling.  
Poku circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Anang tries to land a left uppercut, but Poku sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Poku switches the action to the outside.  Anang throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Anang closes the distance.  Poku lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS ANANG DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Anang's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Anang's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Anang throws a left hook, but Poku holds on to his opponent.  Anang throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Poku is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Anang tries to land a cross, but Poku sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Poku lands with a sharp jab.  
Anang is looking to close the distance.  Poku drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Anang attempts to land a left hook, but Poku slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Poku lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Poku hits home with a cross.  
Anang advances into close range.  Poku lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Poku holds on to his opponent.  Poku leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Anang is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Anang.

Anang is looking to close the distance.  Poku crashes a nasty left hook to his opponents body.  ANANG WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Anang almost instantly recovers. 
Poku lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Anang recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
