Diego Martinez vs Francisco Barcenas

Boxing Daily Report from the Maphatsoe Promotions promoted show at Cipriano Mancera Gym, La Paz,  taking place on 15/09/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Bolivia-La Paz Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Martinez (4 - 8) who hails from El Alto, Bolivia and Francisco Barcenas(9 - 23 - 6) from El Alto, Bolivia.  Both Martinez and Barcenas weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Alire, and the three ringside judges are Fausto Pichon, Francisco Quintanar and Noe Malagon.  

Round 1: 

Martinez lands a cross.  
Barcenas connects with a right hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Martinez dabs at his face checking for damage.  Martinez has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.

Barcenas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Barcenas pushes his forearm into Martinez's face.  The ref breaks Martinez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Martinez steps away from his opponent.  Barcenas lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Barcenas walks Martinez down, trapping him on the ropes.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Martinez dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Martinez.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.  
Martinez throws a right uppercut, but is off-target.  Martinez clinches his opponent.  Martinez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Barcenas pushes his forearm into Martinez's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Barcenas walks Martinez down, trapping him in the red corner.  Barcenas digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.
