Jay Atere vs Mfon Elegbede

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Lagos State promoted show at Lagos Gadanya, Lagos,  taking place on 11/09/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Lagos State Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jay Atere (18 - 12(4) - 9) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Mfon Elegbede(12 - 10(1) - 3) from Lagos, Nigeria.  Both Atere and Elegbede weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Etiebet, and the three ringside judges are Ike Ogbeifo, Efe Obhafuoso and Akeem Lagunju.  

Round 1: 

Atere connects with a right uppercut.  
Atere tries to step out of his opponents range.  Elegbede throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Atere's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Atere gets on the inside.  Atere pivots to the side of his opponent.  Elegbede lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Atere is looking to close the distance.  Elegbede is on target with a right hook.  Elegbede tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
