Boxing Daily Report from the James Saint-Claire promoted show at Rydges Lakeside Canberra Hotel, Canberra,  taking place on 12/09/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Ridall (6(2) - 2(1)) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Vince Darling(2 - 1) from Sydney, Australia.  Ridall weighed in at 235 pounds and 2 ounces, while Darling weighed in at 255 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Callum Purcell, and the three ringside judges are Callum Purcell, Bob Ivory and Noel Wilson.  

Round 1: 

Ridall drives a left hook into Darling's liver.

Ridall manouvers Darling into a corner.  Ridall lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Ridall holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ridall pushes his forearm into Darling's face.  The ref breaks Ridall's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Ridall drives a left uppercut into Darling's body.  
Ridall hits home with a sharp right hook.

Ridall is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Ridall advances into close range.  Darling throws a left hook, but Ridall clinches his opponent.  Ridall pushes his forearm into Darling's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ridall about fouling.  
Darling is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
Ridall pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Ridall lands a stinging jab.  
Darling is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ridall feints a cross, but Darling is not fooled and responds with a right uppercut.

Ridall quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Darling throws a right uppercut, but Ridall clinches his opponent.  Ridall is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ridall manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Ridall lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Darling is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Ridall slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Darling is on target with a cross.  
Ridall digs in a right hook to Darling's body.  
Ridall cuts off the ring, trapping Darling in the corner.  Ridall lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Darling's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Darling's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Darling's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ridall gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Ridall clinches his opponent.  Ridall tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Darling's kidney. The referee warns Ridall and breaks the clinch.

Ridall quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Darling lands a right hook.  
Ridall lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
