Ignado Blas vs John Mellett

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Los Angeles,  taking place on 24/08/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ignado Blas (3(3) - 0) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and John Mellett(3 - 0 - 1) from Baton Rouge, USA.  Both Blas and Mellett weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bradley Fortun, and the three ringside judges are Michael Rice, Alec Lochridge and Mel Paton.  

Round 1: 

Blas closes the distance.  Mellett throws a left uppercut, but Blas ties up his opponent.  Blas pushes his forearm into Mellett's face.  The referee warns Blas and breaks the clinch.  
Blas is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Blas is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
Blas manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Blas lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Blas lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Blas is looking to close the distance.  Blas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blas lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Blas holds on to his opponent.  Blas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blas gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to Mellett's body.  
Blas walks Mellett into a neutral corner.  Blas lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Blas holds on to his opponent.  Blas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Blas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Mellett behind the head. 
Blas digs in a left hook to Mellett's body.  
Blas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Blas lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Blas holds on to his opponent.  Blas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Blas lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blas lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mellett quickly recovers. 
Blas digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Blas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Blas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Blas is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  Blas clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Blas pushes his forearm into Mellett's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Blas forces Mellett to back into the ropes.  Blas is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Blas lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blas lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blas lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mellett quickly recovers. 
Blas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blas lands with a sharp jab.  
Blas gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Blas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Blas lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MELLETT IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mellett's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Mellett's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Mellett's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Blas lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Blas clinches his opponent.  Blas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blas is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Mellett tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a spiteful left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE MELLETT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Mellett recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Blas is looking to close the distance.  Blas pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mellett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Blas connects with a left hook.  
Mellett switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Blas lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Blas gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Blas holds on to his opponent.  Blas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blas walks his opponent into the corner.  Blas drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents body.  Blas clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Blas lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Blas attempts to land a right hook, but Mellett blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Blas stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Blas whips in a big left uppercut to Mellett's body.  MELLETT HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Blas lands a cross, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING MELLETT TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Blas!
