Ryo Ishimoto vs Yuji Yoshida

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at Takeo Yoshida Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 28/08/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Fukuoka Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryo Ishimoto (5 - 13(2) - 1) who hails from Fukuoka, Japan and Yuji Yoshida(31(11) - 7(6) - 1) from Kitakyushu, Japan.  Both Ishimoto and Yoshida weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goro Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Murata, Hiroki Shimabukuro and Fumio Hara.  

Round 1: 

Yoshida is looking to close the distance.  Yoshida sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Yoshida advances into close range.  Yoshida quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Yoshida digs in a left hook to Ishimoto's ribs.  
Yoshida drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Yoshida lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Yoshida lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ishimoto tries to land a jab, but Yoshida slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Yoshida gets on the inside and walks Ishimoto down, trapping him in the corner.  Yoshida is on target with a left hook to Ishimoto's body.  
Yoshida pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Yoshida hits home with a right hook.  
Yoshida advances into close range and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Yoshida closes the distance.  Ishimoto throws a left hook, but Yoshida holds on to his opponent.  Yoshida leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ishimoto tries to land a right uppercut, but Yoshida dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Yoshida pivots to the right of his opponent.  Yoshida lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Yoshida clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Yoshida pushes his forearm into Ishimoto's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Yoshida to stop fouling.

Ishimoto tries to keep the action at long range.  Ishimoto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yoshida lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Yoshida walks Ishimoto into the blue corner.  Yoshida lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Yoshida lands a right hook.  As Yoshida tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ishimoto has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ishimoto's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ishimoto's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ishimoto's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Some sustained pressure from Yoshida could be enough to finish Ishimoto!  Yoshida lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS ISHIMOTO TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Yoshida!
