Santiago Varon vs Porfio Ahumada

Boxing Daily Report from the Wonani Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Lopez, Guayaquil,  taking place on 24/08/2039:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Varon (37(20) - 11(7) - 2) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Porfio Ahumada(23 - 20(3) - 7) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Varon and Ahumada weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Remedios, and the three ringside judges are Luis Cantero, Joaquin Juliana and Juan Corzo.  

Round 1: 

Varon is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Varon lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Varon pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Varon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Varon closes the distance.  Varon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Varon pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Varon pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.

Varon advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Varon snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  
Ahumada lands a right hook.  
Varon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ahumada attempts to land a left uppercut, but Varon sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Varon is on target with a solid left uppercut.  As Varon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ahumada.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Ahumada tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Varon closes the distance.  Varon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Ahumada is clearly losing his cool here!   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref tells Ahumada to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Varon time to recover.  
Varon steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Varon lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Varon throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Varon steps inside.  Ahumada throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ahumada quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Varon lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Varon lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Frustration is reaching boiling point for Ahumada now.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref halts the action and sends Varon to the neutral corner.    He tells Ahumada to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Varon steps inside and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Varon drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Varon tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ahumada recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Varon!
