Montenegro Marquina vs Pedro Algarin

Boxing Daily Report from the Konadu Promotions promoted show at Guatemala City Ortiz, Guatemala City,  taking place on 16/08/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Guatemala Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on El Súper Canal, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montenegro Marquina (24(2) - 14(3) - 1) who hails from Mixco, Guatemala and Pedro Algarin(25 - 6 - 1) from Villa Nueva, Guatemala.  Marquina weighed in at 140 pounds, while Algarin weighed in at 140 pounds and 10 ounces.    As Algarin came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Gabriel Lamar, and the three ringside judges are Jose Baile, Yago Lares and Rodrigo Pomales.
