Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 20/08/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tupai Metua (5 - 10 - 2) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Ewan Ferries(18(7) - 4) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Metua weighed in at 107 pounds and 1 ounces, while Ferries weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Moffitt, and the three ringside judges are James Oakley, Brin Stackpole and Jack Hislop.  

Round 1: 

Ferries is on target with a left hook to Metua's body.  Ferries holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ferries pushes his forearm into Metua's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ferries.
