Waqas Qureshi vs Quaashie Balala

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Iria, Nairobi,  taking place on 08/08/2039:

Clearly AI Kenya-Nairobi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Qureshi (11 - 17(1) - 4) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Quaashie Balala(13 - 12 - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Qureshi weighed in at 135 pounds and 13 ounces, while Balala weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Qureshi came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Yobachi Rubia, and the three ringside judges are Yobachi Rubia, Kashif Haque and Richie Bitok.  

Round 1: 

Balala pivots to the side of his opponent.  Qureshi attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Balala time to recover.  
Balala is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Qureshi throws a left uppercut, but Balala clinches his opponent.  Qureshi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Qureshi is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.

Qureshi pivots to the left of his opponent.  Qureshi attempts to land a left uppercut, but Balala blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Balala is looking to close the distance.  Qureshi throws a left hook, but Balala clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Qureshi pushes his forearm into Balala's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
