Onofre Danca vs Agapetus Simas

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Ginásio Poliesportivo José Corrêa, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 24/09/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Brazil Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Onofre Danca (16(3) - 1) who hails from Fortaleza, Brazil and Agapetus Simas(29(5) - 10(6)) from Goiania, Brazil.  Danca weighed in at 122 pounds, while Simas weighed in at 122 pounds and 13 ounces.    As Simas came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ulises Souva, and the three ringside judges are Fraco Rico, Jose Maciel and Beltran Viana.  

Round 1: 

Simas lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Danca steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Danca is looking to close the distance and hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Simas tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Simas lands a cross.  
Simas pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
Danca is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Simas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Danca sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Danca throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Danca steps inside and digs in a forceful left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SIMAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Simas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Danca is on target with a left hook to Simas's body.  
Danca is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Simas voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Danca tries to tag Simas on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Danca is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Danca tries to land a cross, but Simas sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Danca gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Danca holds on to his opponent.  Simas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Simas about fouling.  Simas quickly recovers. 
Danca lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Simas steps to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Danca closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Danca feints a left hook, but Simas does not fall for it and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Simas tries to step out of his opponents range.  Danca drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Simas lands a hard jab.  
Danca closes the distance and digs in a telling right hook to Simas's body.  SIMAS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Simas almost instantly recovers. 
Danca advances into close range and digs in a sharp left uppercut to Simas's liver.  Danca ties up his opponent.  Danca is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Danca to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Simas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Danca feints a left, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Simas quickly recovers.

Simas is looking to keep his distance.  Danca sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Simas hits the target with a hard jab.  
Danca gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Simas's liver.  
Danca feints a right, and then drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Simas lands a jab.  
Danca lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND SIMAS IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Danca tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Simas lands with a hard jab.  
Danca lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS SIMAS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.
