Gavin MacLeay vs Dave Rydberg

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing Promotions promoted show at Elijah Gym, Cleveland,  taking place on 06/07/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Great Lakes Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gavin MacLeay (20 - 16 - 4) who hails from Madison, USA and Dave Rydberg(17(3) - 6) from Cleveland, USA.  Both MacLeay and Rydberg weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Kumler, and the three ringside judges are Michael Fentress, Daniel Bigner and Jamie Sheedy.  

Round 1: 

Rydberg gets on the inside and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Rydberg sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rydberg lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Rydberg ties up his opponent.  MacLeay is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
MacLeay throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Rydberg pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Rydberg lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
MacLeay is on target with a left hook.  Rydberg ties up his opponent.  Rydberg pushes his forearm into MacLeay's face.  The referee warns Rydberg and breaks the clinch.  
Rydberg lands a firm right uppercut.  
Rydberg lands a left hook.  Rydberg clinches his opponent.  Rydberg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
MacLeay gets on the inside.  Rydberg hits home with a right hook.  
Rydberg lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
MacLeay tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rydberg digs in a left uppercut to MacLeay's liver.  
Rydberg lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Rydberg lands a stinging right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Rydberg.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacLeay's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  MacLeay's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  MacLeay's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
