Edmundo Guitierrez vs Ashley Clyde

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Edwards Hall, Miami,  taking place on 23/04/2039:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Edmundo El Guapo Guitierrez (12(9) - 0) who hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Ashley Clyde(11 - 2) from Albuquerque, USA.  Both Guitierrez and Clyde weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fanuco Onate, and the three ringside judges are Scott Gemmell, Rob Quigg and Robert Armstrong.  

Round 1: 

Guitierrez steps inside.  Clyde wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Guitierrez.  That has caused nasty swelling  around the right eye.  
Clyde lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Clyde throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Clyde steps away from his opponent.  Guitierrez lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Clyde recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Guitierrez gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Clyde lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Guitierrez lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Guitierrez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Guitierrez advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Clyde hits home with a firm left hook.  
Guitierrez lands a solid left hook.  
Clyde is on target with a right hook.  
Guitierrez closes the distance.  Clyde hits home with a left uppercut.  
Guitierrez steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Guitierrez could be enough to force the stoppage!  Guitierrez lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS CLYDE DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Clyde now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Clyde is on target with a hard jab.  
Guitierrez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Round 2: 

Guitierrez closes the distance and connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Guitierrez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Guitierrez tries to land a jab, but Clyde slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  Clyde almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Guitierrez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Clyde cuts off the ring, trapping Guitierrez on the ropes.  Clyde throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Guitierrez lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Guitierrez strikes his opponents body with a firm cross.  
Guitierrez is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Guitierrez stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Guitierrez lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Guitierrez slams a mean left hook into his opponents liver.  CLYDE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  Clyde now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Guitierrez steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Clyde's ribs.  
Clyde throws a right uppercut, but Guitierrez ties up his opponent.  Guitierrez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Clyde pivots to the left of his opponent.  Guitierrez lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Guitierrez advances into close range.  Clyde pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Guitierrez's body.  
Clyde tries to land a left hook, but Guitierrez slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Clyde connects with a right hook.  
Clyde is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Guitierrez lands an overhand right.  
Guitierrez lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Clyde switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a spiteful left hook.  CLYDE IS HURT!  Clyde recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Guitierrez is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Guitierrez connects with a sharp right uppercut.  
Clyde drives a right hook into Guitierrez's ribcage.  Clyde throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a big cross.  CLYDE IS HURT!  
Guitierrez is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Guitierrez lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body, AND CLYDE IS DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Guitierrez!
