Dai McRae vs John Rustigyan

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Sydney McNeill, Sydney,  taking place on 16/03/2039:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-New South Wales Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai McRae (22(15) - 5(1)) who hails from Sydney, Australia and John Rustigyan(5 - 8(4) - 3) from Sydney, Australia.  McRae weighed in at 140 pounds, while Rustigyan weighed in at 139 pounds And 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Lobban, and the three ringside judges are Mark Karalis, Amon Pallas and Lewis MacConnell.  

Round 1: 

Rustigyan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  McRae feints a jab, and then lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
McRae gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  McRae holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, McRae pushes his forearm into Rustigyan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McRae manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  McRae throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  McRae holds on to his opponent.  McRae is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McRae.  
McRae lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  McRae clinches his opponent.  McRae leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McRae is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  McRae is on target with a telling right hook to Rustigyan's ribs.  RUSTIGYAN IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Rustigyan has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
McRae pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
McRae steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McRae closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  McRae holds on to his opponent.  McRae leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McRae forces Rustigyan to back into a corner.  McRae sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McRae lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  McRae attempts to land a right hook, but Rustigyan parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  Rustigyan quickly recovers. 
McRae lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rustigyan attempts to land a left uppercut, but McRae slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Rustigyan's body.  
McRae lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  McRae tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McRae hits home with a firm right uppercut.  McRae holds on to his opponent.  McRae throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McRae about fouling.  
McRae drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
McRae steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
McRae pivots from in front of his opponent and crashes a mean left hook to his opponents ribs.  RUSTIGYAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Rustigyan quickly recovers. 
McRae gets on the inside and walks his opponent into the corner.  McRae digs in a stinging left uppercut to Rustigyan's liver.  McRae clinches his opponent.  McRae leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McRae drives a right hook into Rustigyan's ribcage.  
McRae steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  McRae clinches his opponent.  McRae leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McRae gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  McRae lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  McRae attempts to land a right uppercut, but Rustigyan blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to McRae's body.  
McRae lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McRae drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  
McRae quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McRae digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.

McRae forces Rustigyan to back into the corner.  Some sustained pressure from McRae could be enough to finish Rustigyan!  McRae lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND RUSTIGYAN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Rustigyan now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

McRae whips in a hurtful left hook to his opponents body.  RUSTIGYAN IS HURT!  McRae ties up his opponent.  McRae leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks the clinch and warns McRae to stop holding.  McRae tries to land a left hook, but Rustigyan blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
McRae knows Rustigyan is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  McRae lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS RUSTIGYAN TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Rustigyan cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is McRae!
