Dierck Birkner vs Rudi Laas

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at O2 World, Berlin,  taking place on 12/03/2039:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dierck Birkner (13(3) - 7(7)) who hails from Mannheim, Germany and Rudi Laas(36(25) - 6(5) - 1) from Chemnitz, Germany.  Birkner weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces, while Laas weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Griswold Beu, and the three ringside judges are Garrison Berner, Maximillian Sauber and Bin Scher.  

Round 1: 

Laas steps inside and connects with a left hook.
