Hernan Pozo vs Jose Rubi

Boxing Daily Report from the The New Pearls Boxing promoted show at Estadio Luis Augusto Turcios Lima, Holguin,  taking place on 04/12/2038:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Hernan Pozo (1 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Jose Rubi(4 - 18 - 3) from Camaguey, Cuba.  Both Pozo and Rubi weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraco Bejarano, and the three ringside judges are Jaguar Badia, Jax Pastrano and Jose Santana.  

Round 1: 

Pozo gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Rubi's ribcage.  
Pozo steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pozo throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Pozo holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pozo pushes his forearm into Rubi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pozo.  
Pozo walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Pozo lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Pozo connects with a firm left hook.  
Pozo lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Pozo holds on to his opponent.  Pozo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rubi manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Pozo lands a jab.  
Rubi hits home with a right uppercut.  
Pozo gets on the inside and drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Rubi tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Pozo sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Rubi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rubi throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Pozo steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Pozo drives a stinging right hook into Rubi's body.  
Pozo forces Rubi to retreat onto the ropes.  Pozo is on target with a left hook.  
Pozo lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Rubi throws a right hook, but Pozo ties up his opponent.  Pozo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rubi's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Rubi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Pozo closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right hook to Rubi's ribs.  Pozo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rubi pushes his forearm into Pozo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rubi about fouling.  
Pozo digs in a right uppercut to Rubi's ribs.  
Pozo is on target with a cross.  
Pozo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rubi attempts to land a right hook, but Pozo blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Pozo digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  As Pozo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rubi dabs at his face checking for damage.  Rubi has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Pozo drives a right hook into Rubi's ribcage.

Pozo gets on the inside.  Rubi lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
