Joe Mpala vs Oja Bedwei

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Soweto Holomisa, Soweto,  taking place on 01/11/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Mpala (17 - 18 - 8) who hails from Soshanguve, South Africa and Oja Bedwei(2 - 3 - 2) from Johannesburg, South Africa.  Mpala weighed in at 130 pounds, while Bedwei weighed in at 129 pounds And 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Eric Van der Westhuizen, and the three ringside judges are Here Van Heerden, Ndumisa Ntuli and Quaashie Duncan.  

Round 1: 

Mpala advances into close range and drives a left hook into Bedwei's body.

Mpala is looking to close the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mpala.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Bedwei sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.
