Marco Tomeo vs Fabio Ranocchia

Boxing Daily Report from the Fovea Imperat promoted show at Mauro Moffa Gym, Bari,  taking place on 25/09/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Apulia Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marco Tomeo (2 - 5 - 2) who hails from Bari, Italy and Fabio Ranocchia(3 - 6(1) - 4) from Tarant, Italy.  Tomeo weighed in at 126 pounds, while Ranocchia weighed in at 125 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alberto Rispoli, and the three ringside judges are Gianfranco De Silvestri, Gianluigi Leonetti and Gabriele Nania.  

Round 1: 

Ranocchia manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ranocchia quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Ranocchia tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tomeo is on target with a cross.  
Ranocchia voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tomeo tries to tag Ranocchia on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Tomeo advances into close range.  Ranocchia wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tomeo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tomeo connects with a left hook.
