Onofre Velo vs Kieran Machuca

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Mary Jane Teall Theater, Wichita,  taking place on 10/10/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Onofre Velo (5(3) - 0) who hails from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and Kieran Machuca(6 - 5 - 1) from Tallahassee, USA.  Both Velo and Machuca weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Eddington, and the three ringside judges are Duncan Buyers, David Edmison and John Ghee.  

Round 1: 

Velo closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Velo holds on to his opponent.  Velo pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The ref breaks Velo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Machuca attempts to land a jab, but Velo dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Velo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Velo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Velo lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  Velo holds on to his opponent.  Velo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Velo pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Velo lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Velo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Velo pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Velo about fouling.  
Velo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Machuca throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to Machuca's body.  
Machuca is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Velo is looking to close the distance.  Velo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Machuca is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a cross, but Velo sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Machuca tries to land a cross, but Velo slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Velo is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo manages to force Machuca onto the ropes.  Velo hits home with a right hook.  
Velo is on target with a right hook.  
Velo gets on the inside and digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Velo feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Machuca tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Velo sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Velo gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Machuca's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Machuca's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Machuca's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Velo steps inside and walks Machuca onto the ropes.  Velo lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Machuca drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Velo lands a spiteful jab.  
Machuca pivots to the side of his opponent.  Velo lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Velo is on target with a sharp jab to Machuca's body.  
Velo is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Velo manages to force Machuca into a corner.  The right shot from Velo could be enough to force the stoppage!  Velo lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MACHUCA TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Machuca now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Velo is looking to close the distance.  Velo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Machuca throws a left uppercut, but Velo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Velo pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The referee warns Velo and breaks the clinch.  
Velo lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Velo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Velo manouvers Machuca into a corner.  Velo digs in a stinging right hook to Machuca's body.  
Velo lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Velo pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Velo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Velo holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Velo pushes his forearm into Machuca's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Velo.  
Machuca lands a left hook.

Velo lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Velo clinches his opponent.  Velo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Machuca's kidney.
