Carlos Castillo vs Marco Dimas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at Gimnasio Turrialba 96, San Jose,  taking place on 16/09/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Costa Rica Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Repretel Channel 11, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carlos Castillo (10(9) - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Marco Dimas(9 - 11(2) - 3) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Both Castillo and Dimas weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Cendejas, and the three ringside judges are Reynaldo Lujano, Tadzio Karp and Reynaldo Lujano.  

Round 1: 

Castillo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Castillo drives a left uppercut into Dimas's body.  
Castillo gets on the inside.  Castillo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dimas throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Castillo is on target with a sharp cross.  
Castillo gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Dimas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Castillo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Dimas wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Castillo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Castillo lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Castillo clinches his opponent.  Castillo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Castillo and breaks the clinch.  
Castillo tries to land a jab, but Dimas dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Castillo gets on the inside.  Castillo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Castillo lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Castillo holds on to his opponent.  Castillo uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Dimas's kidney. 
Castillo whips in a spiteful left hook to his opponents body.  DIMAS IS HURT!  Dimas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Castillo is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Castillo holds on to his opponent.  Dimas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Castillo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Castillo steps inside.  Dimas throws a right hook, but Castillo holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Castillo pushes his forearm into Dimas's face.  The referee warns Castillo and breaks the clinch.  
Castillo gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Castillo forces Dimas to back into the ropes.  Castillo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dimas switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Castillo closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS DIMAS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Dimas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dimas's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Dimas's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Dimas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
