Xabat Pasayan vs Dave Ople

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Laguna promoted show at Ivan Ponce Gym, San Pablo,  taking place on 24/07/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xabat Pasayan (10 - 12(1) - 4) who hails from San Pedro, Philippines and Dave Ople(13 - 12 - 4) from Cabuyao, Philippines.  Pasayan weighed in at 111 pounds and 9 ounces, while Ople weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Scott Tulabing, and the three ringside judges are Arnie Gumiran, Luis Lamanilao and Colin Manalang.  

Round 1: 

Pasayan is on target with a right hook.  Pasayan throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Ople to the neutral corner.  He tells Pasayan he will lose a point if he continues to foul.

Pasayan closes the distance.  Ople sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Pasayan's ribs.  
Pasayan forces Ople to retreat into a corner.  Pasayan pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Ople's body.

That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
