Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Northern England promoted show at Leeds Johns, Leeds,  taking place on 21/07/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Ewen (9(3) - 0 - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Ceri Jones(1 - 2 - 2) from Liverpool, UK.  Ewen weighed in at 122 pounds, while Jones weighed in at 120 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gyn Gwenn, and the three ringside judges are Greg Cody, Bryn Dunn and Bradley Carran.  

Round 1: 

Jones pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ewen lands a left hook.

Ewen is looking to close the distance.  Ewen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and crashes a mean left hook to his opponents body.  JONES IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Ewen is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ewen is looking to close the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to Jones's body.  
Ewen gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Jones pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab.

Ewen closes the distance.  Jones throws a right hook, but Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ewen about fouling.  
Jones is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ewen feints a cross, tricking Jones into throwing a cross counter.  Ewen avoids the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Ewen drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Ewen is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ewen drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE JONES WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Ewen is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Ewen crashes a big right uppercut to his opponents body.  JONES IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Ewen lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jones's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Jones's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ewen hits home with a left hook.  Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ewen is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ewen manages to force Jones into a corner.  Ewen lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ewen lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES JONES!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Jones quickly recovers. 
Ewen digs in a sharp left hook to Jones's liver.  
Ewen lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Ewen ties up his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Ewen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
