Dave Bendick vs Danny MacMichael

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Virginia promoted show at Henrico Theater, Richmond,  taking place on 18/07/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-South Atlantic Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Bendick (16 - 5 - 2) who hails from Athens, USA and Danny MacMichael(19 - 16(1) - 4) from Virginia Beach, USA.  Both Bendick and MacMichael weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Wallach, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Mady, Hugh McGuinness and Zachary Davis.  

Round 1: 

MacMichael throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bendick is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Bendick is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Bendick connects with a right uppercut.

Bendick closes the distance.  Bendick retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  MacMichael steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

MacMichael throws a right hook, but Bendick clinches his opponent.  Bendick is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  MacMichael has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
