Mason Belgard vs Vince Gourley

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 01/08/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mason Belgard (8(4) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Vince Gourley(11 - 12(2)) from Toronto, Canada.  Belgard weighed in at 135 pounds, while Gourley weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Henry, and the three ringside judges are Neville Bazil, Paris Clarin and Laurent Marceau.  

Round 1: 

Belgard is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a stiff jab.  Belgard attempts to land an overhand left, but Gourley slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Belgard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Gourley retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Belgard accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Gourley.  
Belgard lands two overhand rights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Belgard hits home with a hard jab.  Belgard throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Gourley time to recover.

Belgard switches the action to the outside.  Belgard feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Gourley gets on the inside.  Belgard lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Belgard holds on to his opponent.  Belgard tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gourley behind the head. Belgard leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Belgard's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Belgard lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Belgard is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Belgard feints a cross, but Gourley does not fall for it and is on target with a cross.  
Belgard pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Belgard steps to the outside.  Belgard feints a jab and triggers a left hook counter from Gourley.  Belgard springs the trap, countering with  a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gourley's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Gourley's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gourley's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Belgard feints a jab, fooling Gourley into launching a right hook counter.  Belgard springs the trap, countering with  a stinging right hook.

Belgard pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Gourley's ribs.  
Belgard steps away from his opponent and is on target with a hurtful overhand left.  GOURLEY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gourley quickly recovers. 
Belgard tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Belgard knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Belgard lands a WICKED right uppercut.  GOURLEY IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  Gourley now seems to have got his legs back.  
Belgard lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS GOURLEY TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Gourley is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Belgard!
