Owen Merrick vs John Warden

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Kentucky promoted show at Lexington Kellis, Lexington,  taking place on 08/07/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Kentucky Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Owen Merrick (32(11) - 14(1) - 4) who hails from Lexington, USA and John Warden(20 - 13(1) - 3) from Louisville, USA.  Both Merrick and Warden weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Hutcheon, and the three ringside judges are Euan Slone, Michael Harkins and Will Edington.  

Round 1: 

Merrick is on target with a sharp jab.  
Merrick digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.

Frustration is reaching boiling point for Warden now.   He steps in close and swings a low uppercut into Merrick's groin!  The ref halts the action and sends Merrick to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Warden and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.
