David Matteson vs Alen Pentland

Boxing Daily Report from the Museli Promotions promoted show at Wichita Hogge, Wichita,  taking place on 04/07/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Kansas Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Matteson (28(1) - 11 - 2) who hails from Wichita, USA and Alen Pentland(16 - 20(5) - 6) from Olathe, USA.  Matteson weighed in at 140 pounds, while Pentland weighed in at 139 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kai Salmond, and the three ringside judges are Geoff Glasgow, Kai Salmond and Henry Eddington.  

Round 1: 

Matteson advances into close range.  Matteson hits home with a right hook.  Matteson clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Matteson pushes his forearm into Pentland's face.  The referee warns Matteson and breaks the clinch.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Matteson dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Matteson is looking to close the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Matteson clinches his opponent.  Matteson throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Matteson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
