Mark Jolly vs Pirkka Merikanto

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 22/08/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Jolly (32(17) - 8(3) - 1) who hails from Waterbury, USA and Pirkka Merikanto(13 - 4(3) - 1) from Vantaa, Finland.  Both Jolly and Merikanto weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Betton, and the three ringside judges are Paul Louden, Bradley Fortun and Malcolm Mayorga.  

Round 1: 

Jolly hits home with a solid cross.  
Jolly lands a hard jab.  
Jolly pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Jolly is looking to keep the action on the outside and SLAMS a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  MERIKANTO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Merikanto quickly recovers. 
Merikanto walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Jolly lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Merikanto sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Jolly hits home with a cross.  
Jolly switches the action to the outside and is on target with a solid cross.  
Jolly lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Jolly is on target with a cross.  
Jolly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jolly lands a straight 1 - 2, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Jolly senses Merikanto is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Jolly lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left uppercuts followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MERIKANTO DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Merikanto now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Jolly lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Merikanto tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jolly lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Jolly lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Merikanto recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Jolly tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Merikanto recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Jolly feints a left hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Jolly steps away from his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Merikanto sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Merikanto's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

The right shot from Jolly could be enough to force the stoppage!  Jolly lands a right hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND MERIKANTO IS DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Merikanto is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Jolly!
