Mark Higgins vs Rob Maffett

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-New York State promoted show at New York City Dee, New York City,  taking place on 16/06/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-New York State Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark the Shark Higgins (30(12) - 10(8) - 4) who hails from Syracuse, USA and Rob Maffett(21 - 15 - 3) from New York City, USA.  Higgins weighed in at 129 pounds and 14 ounces, while Maffett weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Rodden, and the three ringside judges are John Trivelli, Mark Ashley and Oliver Alan.  

Round 1: 

Higgins steps inside and drives a stinging left hook into Maffett's body.  
Higgins advances into close range and manages to force Maffett into a corner.  Higgins lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Higgins ties up his opponent.  Higgins uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Maffett's kidney. The ref breaks Higgins's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Higgins lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Higgins is on target with a right uppercut.  Higgins ties up his opponent.  Higgins is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Higgins and breaks the clinch.  
Higgins lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Higgins holds on to his opponent.  Higgins is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Higgins forces Maffett to retreat into a corner.  Higgins quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Maffett tries to land a right hook, but Higgins parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Maffett steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Higgins steps inside and digs in a stinging right uppercut to Maffett's body.  Higgins throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Higgins's body.  
Higgins gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Higgins advances into close range and connects with a left uppercut.  
Higgins lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Higgins closes the distance and connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Maffett attempts to land a right hook, but Higgins sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Maffett's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Maffett's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Maffett's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Maffett's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Higgins sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Higgins digs in a powerful left uppercut to Maffett's ribs.  MAFFETT IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Maffett now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
