Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 01/08/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Taylor (62(28) - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Canon Verne(27 - 9(4) - 3) from Geneva, Switzerland.  Taylor weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces, while Verne weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Weatherley, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Dundas, Cade Queneau and Brett Litts.  

Round 1: 

Taylor gets on the inside.  Taylor pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Taylor lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES VERNE!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  The ref takes a good look at Verne's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Verne is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Taylor!
