Marijo Vukas vs Nedjeljko Rakek

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Westin Zagreb Hotel, Zagreb,  taking place on 23/05/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Marijo Vukas (2 - 0) who hails from Zagreb, Croatia and Nedjeljko Rakek(1 - 15(2) - 4) from Rijeka, Croatia.  Both Vukas and Rakek weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vjeko Lovric, and the three ringside judges are Jeronim Maras, Miloš Jakovljevic and Blago Vidas.  

Round 1: 

Vukas steps inside.  Vukas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Vukas throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Vukas holds on to his opponent.  Vukas pushes his forearm into Rakek's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vukas lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Vukas advances into close range and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Vukas ties up his opponent.  Vukas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Vukas pushes his forearm into Rakek's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Vukas forces Rakek to retreat onto the ropes.  Vukas lands a solid left uppercut.  
Vukas throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Vukas clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Vukas pushes his forearm into Rakek's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Vukas.  
Vukas digs in a left hook to Rakek's body.  
Vukas hits home with a firm left hook.  
Vukas lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Vukas clinches his opponent.  Vukas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Vukas advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Vukas clinches his opponent.  Vukas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rakek behind the head. 
Vukas is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Vukas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Vukas is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp left hook.

Rakek feints a cross, but Vukas does not fall for it and is on target with a solid left uppercut.

Vukas connects with a stinging right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Vukas dabs at his face checking for damage.  Vukas has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Vukas is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid left uppercut.

Rakek pivots to the side of his opponent.  Vukas connects with a stinging left hook.  Vukas ties up his opponent.  Vukas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Vukas throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Vukas lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Rakek almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Vukas lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.
